Sorry for the delays on the updates on this website. Lately the sun has been shining so much and the days have been perfect for getting out on the bike – so less time has been spent in front of the computer.
Nonetheless, there is time now for an update. Lots of racing action in the past few weeks on behalf of Stevens Bikes Canada and Stevens Bikes racers.
On the weekend of June 24, the city of Burlington hosted the Canadian Elite Road Nationals. The women’s Stevens Bikes Canada team presented by The Cyclery were out to race against the best in Canada in the time trial, road race and criterium. Congratulations to Sue Schlatter for her fifth place in the time trial and to Florence Laplante-Lamarche for her rides in the road race and criterium – capturing the Ontario Provincial Criterium Champion title.
Conor O’Brien, Shawn Clarke and Stephen Keeping racing for the Stevens Bikes Canada team, raced at the Canadian Elite Road Nationals as well. All three put in good efforts and definitely took away some excellent lessons.
This past weekend was the Canadian Masters Road Nationals in Burlington, ON. Marc Boudreau racing for Stevens Bikes Canada finished 7th in the 40-49 category – Marc initiated the early move on the second lap of the race that launched the eventual winner.
Also racing in Europe is Keir Plaice who has been based in the Netherlands for his second season and this weekend he won the fourth stage of the Ardennes Challenge.
Congrats to everyone for their fine racing. Keep on pushing on those pedals and get outside as much as possible!
